We have a lot of love in our house...and I like to put it on display!

I had always wanted to go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I had always heard about how big and amazing it was. And boy was it! It was HUGE!!! Rows and rows and rows of antiques, furniture, vintage clothes and more. There was so much to see and explore!
As we were walking around we came across a vendor selling metal letters and numbers. They were painted in bright colors but were thrown all over the asphalt creating a vintage, worn look. I fell in love with them and had to figure out something to spell. So I started digging through the piles and put together the letters L O V E. Not sure what I was going to do with them, but surely I'd figure something out. After hours of fun and a few small purchases we decided to make our way home.
Not knowing exactly what I was going to do with my new letters and picture frame I bought, my husband started experimenting...and this is what now hangs in our family room.
We also purchased the yellow frame at the Flea Market. It originally had a floral picture in the middle that we removed. We then framed a piece of burlap, fit the letters in and I had a piece of glass cut at our local hardware store to finish our new artwork.

I love it! haha It's so me, funky, a little vintage and colorful! You never know what you're going to find out Flea Markets, be sure to think creatively and it's ok to buy things and not know what you're going to do with them right away - a great idea can come about later!

My mom, referred to as Mama L, and I have been talking about starting a blog for quite some time now. We are always trying new recipes and making new crafts - always being told by friends and family that we need to sell our creations. Instead of selling them we've decided to share our crafty ideas, yummy recipes along with our funny adventures here on our blog. Please follow us and enjoy. We are always trying to find new places to explore, new recipes to cook for our families and most of all we're just having fun!
