The Apple of Our Eye

Here is the reason for the lack of posts lately. Mama L ans I were busy planning a Baptism for The Apple of our Eye, my daughter S.

As you will see we had an apple theme that carried from the invites down to the food. It was a great success, everything turned out just as planned and our guests were amazed at all the details.

Banner purchased from BloomDesignsOnline on Etsy.
You purchase the items, they are emailed to you  as a pdf file and you print yourself. Such a great idea!
Party favors; cupcake cups from BloomDesignsOnline filled with gumballs and chocolates, wrapped in cello and tied with green ribbon and a paper leaf to say Thank You!
Drinks: Apple Cider  and a delicious Sangria (recipe found on Pinterest). Straw flags also from BloomDesignsOnline

Centerpieces: Bushel baskets from Michaels's Crafts, filled with green apples, tied with ribbon and polka dot balloons  found a Party City.

Water bottles wrapped with labels from BloomsDesignsOnline and bubbles with apple stickers for the kids.

Dessert table: suckers, chocolate cigars from See's Candy for the dads (it was Father's Day).
Lots of desserts: mini apple pies, cupcakes filled with apple pie filling...YUM!
The Apple of Our Eye!
(Outfit from Smocking Bird  and headband from Cutie Butts Boutique on Etsy)

My mom, referred to as Mama L, and I have been talking about starting a blog for quite some time now. We are always trying new recipes and making new crafts - always being told by friends and family that we need to sell our creations. Instead of selling them we've decided to share our crafty ideas, yummy recipes along with our funny adventures here on our blog. Please follow us and enjoy. We are always trying to find new places to explore, new recipes to cook for our families and most of all we're just having fun!
