Honey Sauced Chicken

Honey Sauced Chicken

3/4 pound chicken (i used 2 breasts, cubed)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 c honey
1/4 c soy sauce (I used reduced sodium)
1/8 c chopped onion (i used green onions)
1/8 c ketchup
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp minced fresh ginger (optional)

Season cubed chicken with salt and pepper and set aside.  In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic and pepper flakes.  Pour over chicken in an oven proof dish.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes and serve over rice or steamed veggies.  It's  fast, easy and delicious!

Can be made in a crock pot.  Put all ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low for 3 hours or high for 1 1/2 hours.  I thought it was actually easier to oven bake this one.

My mom, referred to as Mama L, and I have been talking about starting a blog for quite some time now. We are always trying new recipes and making new crafts - always being told by friends and family that we need to sell our creations. Instead of selling them we've decided to share our crafty ideas, yummy recipes along with our funny adventures here on our blog. Please follow us and enjoy. We are always trying to find new places to explore, new recipes to cook for our families and most of all we're just having fun!
