Our loft has been a work in progress since we moved in. I was stumped on what to do, what to cover these large walls with, what to hang or should I paint. After lots of brainstorming I finally came up with a plan. One wall is still not done and will be done hopefully soon, but it involves wallpaper and wainscoting. The other 2 walls are now done.
They started off boring and grey and now they have color and personality.
First I started by hanging the large gold metallic heart. I ordered it from Urban Walls. They have lots of great decals, it's simple to order and arrives quickly! I couldn't wait to hang it so as soon as my husband was home and our daughter was in bed, we got to work hanging our big heart!
Next we started in our collage wall. Originally I had the Scrabble pieces on the wall by themselves, but it was just too small on such a large wall. So I decided to add more to it, and boy did I add! I made a few trips to my local Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnn's, Home Goods and a few trips rummaging through our garage to put it all together.
When I do walls like this I like to lay everything out on the floor so I can visualize things. I can also move things around try different placements all without having to make one mark on my wall! Once I have everything in place I can then take a picture and start hanging. The other helpful thing to do is to measure the distance from left to right and top to bottom. That way you can have your collage wall centered on the wall and you aren't stuck with a big gap on either side.
Once you have your measurements you can start hanging!
There are so many things you can add to your wall! Keys, hooks, hearts, arrows, there are endless ways to display your style and personality!
Enjoy!
